Today's press release shows that Brilacidin-OM works to prevent oral mucositis, is particularly effective for those who have higher doses of chemo drugs, and if it does not completely prevent severe oral mucositis, it reduces duration of the condition.
This can be the difference between someone having to be hospitalized, and someone being able to tough it out at home.
Also think about this: If the onset of OM can be prevented or delayed by using Brilacidin for patients who receive higher doses, perhaps more doctors would prescribe higher doses that they might be hesitant to prescribe before, now that OM can be PREVENTED IN MANY OF THESE PATIENTS.
