As it is righties lost their shit over Obama allegedly coming for their guns. There was no political support for even universal background checks, let alone assault weapons bans.
You can harp about the debt under Obama, but the GOP is as quiet as a mouse pissing on cotton over what they just put in the pipeline.
Learn some economics; both Bush and Obama had no choice but to extend loans to the auto industry, do TARP and then the Stimulus.
