Seems like the connection with Ropes and Gray was paramount for STI business ties and not just for their legal pursuits. Seems like Ropes and Gray connection with TPG added legitimacy to STI and enabled them to gain these big time deals. Or maybe the McAfee connection through ACS happened first and that led to Ropes and Gray later, but one way or another there is a synergy here that seems to be feeding on itself.
I love to stare at a fire and think about how it is self sustaining as long as there is a supply of fuel. The hard part is getting the fire started, which takes a lot of energy, but then keeping it going requires far less energy.
