I wonder how many realize this...in California, now that the new regulations have kicked in since Jan 1st, individuals cannot use the licensed laboratories to test their MJ. From the old Candian ad campaign PR, it sounds like it's similar in Canada. Only licensed cultivators, manufacturers, or distributors can pay the labs in Cali and Canada to test their MJ. Consumers just have to trust the labels...or they can try a MYDX analyzer:
" As reported in May 2017 by the Globe and Mail, federally licensed laboratories, the facilities best equipped with the equipment and expertise to examine cannabis products for safety on behalf of public health, currently test cannabis for the approximately 43 licensed producers in Canada, and are NOT legally able to test marijuana for consumers and retail dispensaries."

Here is proof that California consumers can either trust the businesses labels or buy a MYDX analyzer to verify own their own:
“Requester” means a person who submits a request to a licensed testing laboratory for state mandated testing of medical cannabis goods. The requester may be a licensed cultivator, licensed manufacturer, or licensed distributor.

No more individual customers for labs in California. From that old PR, it sounds like the same situation in Canada, but we can verify that too.
I am a medical card holder and I recently bought pink lemonade from two different growers at the same dispensary. One had no CBD and 19% THC, the other was a 1:1 CBD:THC ratio at around 12%. Made no sense. I still have the containers and labels in front of me and can post pics of them if I can figure out how to do it without peeps accessing my hard drive, lol.
