Comparing the phone from the tweet and the phone from the Utop website, there is an icon in the upper left that is in the tweet photo but not in the image from the website. If you zoom in on the tweet (image quality is not good) it looks like a battery gauge, but if you look at the pic on the website you can clearly see the battery gauge and the remaining/charging percentage next to it to the left of the time. I can only assume it is a signal meter and it is showing a signal level. The phone is in Florida, so either a special version for trial (on a carrier) or already set up for domestic use.

I hope my speculation is correct
