Nice up from SGSI overall today and drugmanrx thank you for putting together an excellent list of catalysts for why the stock is trading up so forcefully.
It is difficult for some investors to understand multiple businesses operating under the same umbrella -- but more value can be created for shareholders.
A good example of this from the past is Hewlett Packard spinning out their analytical instrument business from the parent company in 1999;
Since then Agilent Technologies has become a 4.5 billion company in their own right.
Revenue IncreaseUS$4.5 billion (2017)[1]
Operating income
IncreaseUS$841 million (2017)[1]
Net income
IncreaseUS$684 million (2017)[1]
Total assets IncreaseUS$8.4 billion (2017)[1]
Total equity IncreaseUS$4.8 billion (2017)[1]
Number of employees
13,500 (October 2017)[1]
Using HP is intentional because of that company being viewed as one of the seed corn companies of the entire Silicon Valley.
If SGSI management can do something similar following HP's way, I say that would be great. If SGSI management can make the kind of corporate community relations contributions that HP made famous -- that would also be very welcome.
Again, thanks drugmanrx for your dilligence, I just wanted to add some historical perspective.
