Re: StevenRisk #744
I am certainly old school as well. Just had to personally deal with this reward lackluster environment we now are subjected to. I had to take a second to think to your reply, because of what I had to endure that just those two years ago! It nearly killed me. This guy was the laziest POS I ever met in my entire life. Who was hired due to having past experience in local government. Management thought it would make a difference for our team.
It did indeed, he came in day one a half hour late with a news paper, sat back, and no joke kicked a leg up on his desk drinking his coffee and started reading the news paper!!! I slapped his foot off his desk and asked him WTF he thought he was doing?!? He said he was simply starting his day. I knew from this one moment this wasn't going to work.
He couldn't use computer programs, such as word& excel, would always come in late, use time during day to talk on cell phone, such and so on....
I never condemned these actions and was raised on work ethic! It took all my efforts to get rid of him and finally happened after exhausting myself and his teammates.
Simply put. Been through the worst of what it takes now days. and it will only get worse unfortunately. I live in upstate NY and there are stirrings of potentially just giving people a "living" stipend because robots and computers are taking their "jobs" . Personally don't know what the future will bring but not liking what I'm hearing!
Apologize for the ramblings but bothers me that much!
