$PSGR More information on Don McDowell (Bloomberg)
Mr. Donald James McDowell, also known as Don serves as Vice-President of Geology at Ecuador Gold and Copper Corp. Mr. McDowell serves as Chairman, Executive Vice President, Exploration Manager and Secretary of Great American Minerals Inc. He served as Vice-President of Geology at Enterprise Capital Corporation. He is a mineral exploration executive with 25 years of experience and a specific focus on the Great Basin and Alaska. This includes 17 years of experience with major corporations including Nippon Mining of Japan, Santa Fe Pacific Gold and Kennecott Exploration. During the 14 years with Santa Fe Pacific Gold, Don was intimately involved in corporate exploration, resource/reserve evaluations and mine development. This included the world class Twin Creeks and Lone Tree Mines. He has been Director of Great American Minerals Inc. since April 2003. From 1997 to 1999, he was a co-founding officer and Director of Golden Phoenix Minerals, Inc., a publicly held natural resources company. Mr. McDowell is a registered professional land surveyor in the states of California and Nevada. (end of Bloomberg article)
I am very familiar with the LONE TREE MINE (Gold mine) in Valmy, NV and the Twin Creeks Mine (Gold) in/Near Golconda, NV. Both mines were well managed and very productive during their peak operations. I do not know anything about NIPPON MINING of JAPAN. I believe that KENNECOTT EXPLORATION may be associated with the KENNECOTT MINE (Brigham Canyon Mine) in UTAH BUT may also be associated with the KENNECOTT MINE in ALASKA. I am familiar with the Kennecott Mine in Utah a COPPER PRODUCING MINE. I have no knowledge of the ALASKA MINE.
SANTA FE GOLD CORPORATION has seen some hard time recently. In August of 2015 it filed for CHAPTER 11 Bankruptcy. Currently the share price is approximately $0.13. I do not know the terms of the settlement (if any at this time).
Don McDowell appears to have a comprehensive background with GOLD MINING from exploration to start-up to production. I am very hopeful I am correct in my assumptions of his PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT abilities.
