Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. I think the data analysis is taking longer than they thought it would.
It's awfully complex -- because it involves subjective judgments. Exactly how much improvement did that patient have? Did the doctor seeing the actual lesion have a different, more accurate view than what a photograph might indicate? What did the patient say about the level of discomfort -- that's meaningful too, because we can't see the underneath-layers below the lesion. We KNOW that patients in the first study reported that they had less itching and discomfort.
Then, they've got two different dosage groups plus placebo to try to compare, to get a meaningful opinion as to the efficacy of the drug at different doses.
What a nightmare to try to put all this data together.
