The Dem party is PRO separation of church from state.
THAT principle is what keeps the sanctioning of both the Bible and the Koran out of the public schools.
You want Christian prayer in public schools? Then stand by for the Muslim call to prayer piped in over the same intercom.
The corollary is the 'free exercise' clause of the First Amendment which is what keeps Muslim Americans out of concentration camps.
It's also what keeps the right from doing some things that most decent people oppose.
