Cheetahs can't do physics, other than the intuitive/instinctive kind that 'calculates' closure speed and angles toward prey.

And even four very short legs don't necessarily benefit, speed wise, from the extra blood not needed to feed extra small brains and hearts.

Turtles, for example.
