Well might be giving up and taking my loss---just read on QUORA--a question answering site. When you ignite hydrogen it releases MOSTLY water-- but also nitrites which is a pollutant just like the pollutants from carbon based fuels. Therefore a semi running directly on hydrogen will not be as efficient as a fuel cell connected to electric motors. Fuel cells don't produce nitrites. So I think that's why their not being funded.
