BLDP is a Fuel cell solution provider. The trick with fuel cells is clean hydrogen 99.999% pure (its hard to measure zero). Impurities like surfer other items contaminate the fuel cell reducing the power output. While hydrogen is all around us, it hard to separate. The standard is to have 10,000 psi of hydrogen on vehicles. Issues are:
1) Hydrogen has a wide flammability rate 4-90% in air.
2) Pure hydrogen is expensive ~$15/kg. BTW 1 kg equals about 1 gallon of gas.
3) Fuel cell materials are expensive.
4) Fuel tanks and components to store hydrogen are expensive.
5) Fuel cells are heavy metal plate assemblies
6) Can't smell if it leaking
7) Burns a clear flame
High pressure storage
The good thing is fuel cell take the hydrogen and air to make energy which results in water.
