Market makers playing games. It's easy for them to pull this stuff because of there being 4 principal exchanges for OTC stocks. They can "not see" your bid because it's on a different exchange -- oopsie, just didn't see it there.....

And then we have the case of the incredible disappearing "asks." Some of us remember a day when a supposedly 70,000 share "ask" appeared on a somewhat low volume day. One of our valued posters put in an order for a pretty big chunk of that 70k, at their asking price -- but **poof** magically the ask disappeared and he didn't get filled.

They like to put those phony "asks" in to scare us.
