He may get jail time, and I believe it's justified, but he was a piker by comparison to the tens or hundreds who brought down the economy in 2008, and they didn't do jail time. Some are probably working in the Administration if you dig deep enough. Of course none of them were in the cannabis business.
Trump's friend, Carl Icahn, sold off his steel related holdings prior to the announcement of the tariff and swears it was just great timing, he heard nothing from Trump. As an adviser he also positioned himself to profit from a move he suggested to the Administration. I would suspect that he makes Friedland look like a piker as well, but then again, he has friends in high places.
I wish they would drain the swamp, but few would be left in positions of power in Washington, or Wall St.
