Ok, first things first, I agree with you. I am really down on our future because I think our planet is one living organism. I think that the planet will make the adjustment to move forward without us. Sound Crazy? How many specie have been lost or have been left behind because it just wasn't working? Dino's come to mind! Millions of specie have come and gone. Sharks are on the brink. 300000 years on earth and man has almost killed them off in less than 100 years. What goes around will come around. I for one look forward to that.

They have not spotted any new whale calves this year. Not enough icebergs to support the krill needed to feed the whales anymore. This past month temps in the artic were warmer than Ever recorded. Normally subzero, they were in the 40's!!!

Man is am arrogant beast that will, as a specie bring this planet to it's knees and then Planet Earth, being threatened will wipe the scourge of Homo Erectus from the face of the planet.

The question will be, if Artificial Intelligence gets a foothold on the biochemical framework of the human specie, it will evolve and leave the frail human condition behind and then watch out!
