In 1984, Minnesota long time senator and VP under Carter Walter Mondale of course got Minnesota votes, DUH. Minnesota does not have the ultra liberal nutcases California has, and fewer illegal Mexican's living in Minnesota. Unlike nutcase California, Minnesota has had Republicans in the majority in congress many times since 1976, and Republicans voted to the US house and senate several times.
Like California, however, they do rig elections.
Frankens election, the filibuster stopping Senator who got the Obama Healthcare Deconstruction Act through was totally ugly. Franken lost by just enough to get a recount. At the recount, a car drove up to a polling station with a trunk load of "absentee" ballots that the "forgot" to count. After the results by precincts was posted it was found that a few precincts in the metro area had like 114% of the registered voters voting and 99% for Franken. After now US Republican Senator and then local talk show host brought it up, the results were illegally taken down. Joan Grow, the Secretary of state could have faced a crime, but I keep bringing it up that in the US and especially Minnesota we have a one party system disguised as two. So, the Republican's never challenged it, OMG.
