I am a RT (retired). Did Radiology, CT and Bone Density...plus years of management. My back "IS" trash. I also made less money than a RN. I also pushed Medication, exposed people to doses of radiation, started IV's and also did advanced cardiac life support. Worked 8,10 and 12 hour shifts, pulled call and worked weekends and holidays. Plus also intervened in doctors moving patients with broken necks or other injuries. During my tenure, there was about a $10 discrepancy between a RT and RN. To add they also had help in doing there job, LPN's and aids. Where I had me, myself and I to rely on.
Some Nurses are worth their weight in gold. Some or most are not !!!
