I don't think the SEC would operate that way, but I can't say it's false and be certain of it. I believe that some people do anything to bring the price down, and creating any doubt or question does do that. I'm never certain if they're short, or investors wishing to buy at lower prices.

In the long run none of this will be meaningful. If we have product sales, revenue, and drug approvals this company will be worth a fortune if it's not bought out. Without those things it will flounder and fail in time. I believe it will take at least a few years before we have U.S. drug approval, but that doesn't mean it can't happen quicker elsewhere. As for sales in cannabis stores, depending on just how much proof the company demands before making them available, one or more could be on the market later this year.

As I see it, California is in play, so an announcement regarding CA could be big, and might come with a substantial payment to the company, depending on the terms.
