About the Moody Blues, founding member in 1964 Ray Thomas "retired" in 2002 with "diminishing health". He died January 4, 2018. He died happy since the Moodies were voted into the Rock Hall of Fame on December 11th, 2017.
Ray was one of 3 of the 5 longest term members when the band got their first hit, Go Now. The main 2, Justin Hayward and John Lodge arrived in 1966 after Go Now.
