He was personal friends with her parents as well and she had an abortion because he knocked her up.
This doesn't exhibit very sound personal judgement and as far as professional judgement...what can be said.

I am all but sure from what I am hearing that he's pretty much finished.
OWCP not only did the prudent thing, they also snagged a great scientists and someone that is well regarded and respected.
