In the State of California they are thinking of establishing a bank specifically for the cannabis businesses. While I support anything positive, what's really needed is Federal legislation that makes it legal for banks to work with cannabis based businesses that are registered by the State in State's where it's legal whether Session's likes it, or not.

In the article in the Times it was noted that some cannabis businesses were bringing virtually bags of money worth hundreds of thousands in to pay their taxes since they can't deal with the banks. It's time to recognize that these are legitimate businesses and give them the opportunity to function like they are.
