The weak excuses I've heard for not updating the information is that the trials are being done in Israel. I don't believe they are filing any other trials in the FDA clinical trials database, and apparently they do not have, or choose not to use a similar database in Israel.
I've been told that even for trials here in the U.S. it isn't mandatory to file in the database. Filing may help in recruiting patients into the trial, but for these small trials in Israel, it's possible that they've already identified people who will qualify.
By filing in the database, the trial sponsor also communicates with shareholders which is certainly of benefit to us. Some companies are great at keeping the database up to date while others practically ignore it. While I wish OWCP would file everything they're doing in the clinical trials database, they've clearly made a decision not to keep us, and perhaps their competition routinely updated. Anyway, that's my take on it.
