Will be interesting to see what IPIX decides to do with the Brilacidin industrial business that will arise from the polymer derivative that can be introduced into textiles, plastics, and paints to make these products sterilized and non microbial.
This will be a totally different market from the biotech one and will require a completely new set of partners or one massive partner such as BASF to promote product to industrial manufacturers. They won't have to have clinical trials on patients, but would the FDA approval for Brilacidin be enough to tout their claims for the individual products or would each have to go thru tests from non-FDA govt agencies to state the benefits?
Would there be any benefit in making the industrial B a separate division or a subsidiary of the parent company?
Just brainstorming here thinking of the great opportunities across so many product lines!!
Wonder if they can make a coating for metals (hand rails, door hardware, etc)?
I saw a show once where individual had patented the rights to incorporate HOT pepper oils into paints, coatings, etc as it would prevent mice from eating plastic wiring, barnacles from sticking to ships, etc. Thought that was ingenious.
Talk about a foundation for a royalty money making machine!!
