Just for the record.... GPS stands for Global Positional System. It consists of an array of satellites orbiting the the earth. Your position is calculated by triangulating the distance from 3 or more of the satellites. It was originally put there by the US military, who now allow it to be used for civilian purposes.
It has nothing to do with the internet.

Also, just my opinion...
