MM's are in business like everyone else,to make money.Their customers,including hedge funds,expect prompt execution of their trades (or shorts).
If any MM's don't perform up to expectations then the hedge funds will use other MM's who will.
MM's do what they're "told" by their large clients,or else.
Meanwhile,shorts love staying "hidden" as well as agenda driven traders.That's why they gleefully support the contention that there IS NO BOOGEYMAN under the bed.The FINRA # is what it is.Nobody is "making it up".
So keep posting your argument.I love it because it acts like a litmus test and seems to be good at drawing out those of questionable character who love to agree with it.Makes spotting "suspicious characters" that much easier.
