Some who had profits in other stocks perhaps decided to sell SFOR in December and to take the tax loss to offset their gains. In 2018 some may have decided to reclaim shares they sold in SFOR. They wanted to avoid wash sale treatment so waited 30 days to reenter. Would not surprise me to see more days like that soon.
