A military physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, did the exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Jackson also performed President Barack Obama’s last physical in March 2016.

Trump’s body mass index, which is 29.9, means he’s considered overweight. He's gained about three pounds since last year. That number is just squeaking under the line between "overweight" and "obese."

(For comparison's sake, Obama’s last reported BMI was 22.8.) Trump's total cholesterol has also risen from 169 last year to 223; his level of so-called "bad" cholesterol has also increased from 94 to 143.

Trump’s baseline risk for a heart attack is about 16 percent, according to one calculator ( www.cvriskcalculator.com/ ) that uses guidelines established by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.

“That is your risk of having a heart attack in the next ten years,” Dr. Leigh Simmons, also an internist at Massachusetts General, explained.
