Squires spoke back around 2013 at Photonics West and was on a SPIE Photonics West panel a few years ago, but it is very rare for him to speak at a QD event. He may have spoke locally in the Austin area. This is a big event for QMC. He's not doing this to prospect for new clients, but to close existing ones.
1. It's in China where QMA is located and will be before lots of existing clients. We know QMC is totally focused on turning these existing clients into a revenue stream, so there is synergy in spades.
2. This is a place to make announcements for the greatest effect, in front of the display, printed and flexible electronics and automotive display markets.
3. Squires is not alone. GTG has contacts with many Chinese companies and can make introductions, but I believe introductions began when QMA began, so many of these contacts will now be friends with Squires.
4. Toshi Ando knows the Far East markets like the back of his hand.
5. If you know the history, GTG has a past relationship with BOE. The display industry follows the leader and a QD deal with BOE will be very influential.

6. Uniglobe Kisco has offices worldwide. They may introduce potential or existing QMC clients for a first-time face-to-face meeting with Squires and Ando-san.
