Sessions is a product of his environment wherein the belief that MJ is 'demon weed' prevails.
No amount of education and evidence has layered over his prejudices on MJ or on a lot of other issues.
Funny though how Sessions' testimony before Congress seemed to exhibit the effects of MJ on his memory.
