There were at least six Congressman in that room. Really think that any one of them would simply make up those words?

You're badly, bigly, overlooking the many other statements Trump has made which confirm that he IS a racial and religious bigot.
His equivocations about Nazi marchers was his FIRST and most authentic reaction.
His reported words sound 'authentic' to him and to me, and to many, many others.
