FYI the CR expires 1/19. So, we are facing a looming Federal Government shutdown. However, I am guardedly optimistic the US Congress & the POTUS do not want this to happen and will work together to resolve their fiscal differences. What this means is fund release authority will be given to contracting officers (like I was) 1/20. Then, and only then, will they be able to initiate contracts for new items (such as defensive software) not currently in the procurement cycle pipeline.
