Your brokerage statement is as of 12/31 and doesn’t prove you own shares on 1/5.
Here’s what you can do. I did this and it worked... I got an email back from IR confirming so.
Go to your account and either get a screen shot as of today, or a 12/31/17 statement. In addition, go to your transactions history, limit the results to NTEK, over the last 30 days, and show that you didn’t sell your shares. I also provided a screen shot of my account details page showing my name.
That shows I did in fact own shares, didn’t liquidate them, and my name on the signed vote matches the name on the account. Took 5 minutes to do.
