My guess is I don't expect anything to happen until Feb.
These are complex deals with many parties involved and now throw in the Avant deal while keeping in mind there aren't dozens of people available to work on this. Any deal announced after the holidays would have had to be very close to execution before the holidays where both parties said, let's just wait a few weeks.
Could be they had it all figured out in Q4, but even large companies don't plan that well. How many times has Apple and Microsoft been late not to mention turn out faulty crap. But hey, they make a s--t load of money so who can complain about dates.
