As far as I know, you are limited to how much you can add to your traditional IRA per year (I think it's $5500 per year and more for seniors). So you would want to contribute the max amount and let it grow from there in what ever stock you choose. This would give you the most tax shelter but if SFOR skyrockets that amount would be so large the tax shelter from the $5500 contribution would be insignificant.
