This morning I was going thru Psoriasis chat boards to see if anything regarding Prurisol was being mentioned. Came across a post dtd middle of Dec '17 asking for help on assisted suicide as poster had a "friend" who was at this stage of the game with long term chronic psoriasis.
Reminded me of how serious are the problems our drugs are trying to address. Must be a living hell if suicidal thoughts come into the picture.
I attempted to support the poster and, among other things, referred them to the ipharminc website to review the Expanded Access/Compassionate Use section (gave them directions how to get there) and have them or their doctor contact the company to see if "friend" could be given access to Prurisol.
Not sure about the outcome, haven't heard back from poster yet, but sure hope this is the type of patient that the EA/CU route may be able to help.
