Agreed. It has nothing to do with streaming. I was thinking more of applications for business use.

Blockchain is a bit off topic for the board...

In the future it will be a useful business tool for a lot of companies to manage data, their ledgers, supply chain, instantaneous stock transactions (putting a stop to some of the stock market "shenanigans" that go on) etc.

Everyone is hyped on the terms "bitcoin" and "blockchain" because right now, if you even mention either one of those terms in relation to a company it sometimes gives an artificial, short term jump to the share price of a company.

I think that may be what is motivating the conversation about bitcoin. Personally I'm a "build real long term value " kind of guy.

Bitcoin right now is fine if you are a short term investor and want to take a chance to make money on the ups and down IMO..

I agreed it's far from liquid and stable enough for a small, growing company to start accepting as payment.....
