I had some up close and personal with manatees a couple of winters ago at Homossasa Springs. We were in Tampa, went to the state fair, Bush Gardens, and spent the day with a couple who winter in an rv at the springs. She is an ex navy diver and we literally swam with them in their winter calving grounds.
