Get back to me with your theory of 'media mind bending' on this particular polling result....
......AFTER the Mueller investigation has concluded.
Compare and contrast. Were minds bended by the media, or were a majority of those polled simply better informed about unfolding events back then, in '74, as they are now?
And yeah, I think this 'Russian thing' will turn out to be every bit as serious as Watergate turned out to be. For the Country no less than the perps.

An overwhelming majority of Democrats and independents also agree, by 86 and 67 percent, that Trump has impeded or obstructed the investigation, compared to only 24 percent of Republicans.

In the spring of 1974, as the news slowly broke about the Watergate break-in, cover-up, and White House involvement in the affair, Nixon’s approval ratings began a steady decline. In the last Gallup poll before the resignation, disapproval of the President ran highest among Democrats (78%), but Independents were nearly as negative at 69%, and even among Republicans, nearly four in ten (38%) disapproved.
