T-Mobile New TV Streaming Service

Why T-Mobile's New TV Streaming Service Will Fail: Analysis

hat's more expensive than its direct competitors, including Dish Networks' Sling TV, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, Hulu with Live TV or AT&T's DirectTV Now, who also provide cheaper "skinny bundles" which can start from $20 for basic channels.

However, and just like its other competitors, Layer3 TV requires its users to first subscribe to a broadband service provider like Altice, AT&T, Charter, Comcast or Cox, in order to be able to stream its HD content - adding at least $50 to $100+ per month to the user's bill on top of Layer3 TV's subscription.

Moreover, most of these broadband operators are already restricting the amount of data a subscriber can consume (usually capping it at 1 TB per month) and will charge extra money to customers who go over that cap.
