That is a problem many otc traders have, thinking tickers need news to run. Often times tickers run on technicals (chart), oversold or potential breakouts.
I use my Etrade Pro scanners throughout the day, network with others, and look at charts to find nice setups. Often a volume spike is detected on the scanners which provokes many to pay attention because volume often precedes a price move. networking is essential, many eyes, many ears makes it so much easier not to miss a great move.
