Thanks and thanks to keen eyes by Drano. I mispelled the generic drug. It is fluconazole, not fluconasol-generic for Diflucan. I left private practice years ago and work in public health now and haven't written for this drug in years. More often than not, when it was needed the troche delivery almost always worked better/quicker than the liquid form.

As an aside, a friend has been treated for lung cancer over the past couple of years. He DID NOT have any issue with OM and considers himself quite lucky. It is not reliably predictable as to which patient will develop the problem but those that do unfortunately develop it are often in such a debilitated state that everything in their daily lives becomes a struggle. Anything that can help them will be a blessing.
