There's a difference between legal shorting, which usually results in very few fails-to-deliver, and the illegal naked shorting which is what many people believe happens with small companies. There was a huge amount of documented illegal naked shorting in AMBS, on the Hamburg exchange.
By definition, illegal naked shorting is going to be concealed, because it is illegal. No one can state categorically that there are X amounts of illegal naked shorted shares in any particular company, because, like most crimes, people who are in a cabal that is performing illegal acts are going to try to keep their crimes concealed.
It is futile to argue about illegal naked shorting, because there is no way to obtain evidence on either side of the argument.
It would be better to drop this topic because it is both a waste of time, and boring. And no one's mind is going to be changed on it, no matter how many articles each side posts.
I'd rather focus on the huge move up that IPIX stock has made in recent days, on huge volume, as we are awaiting clinical trial results.
