The whole thing sounds kind of squirrely to me. From what I've read, QDots don't come any smaller than 2nm & even those are hard to come by. And even if they did have some at 1nm, I think they'd likely be in the UV range & of questionable use for the purposes of broad-range displays in RGB, as far as I can conceive anyway...
...but then, I'm not a display engineer, so what do I know
