B.izzy, there is a difference between saying no to ALL vaccines, and saying no to a specific vaccine that doesn't work well.
Some people, like me, are sensitive to the various chemicals that they put in vaccines, or are allergic to eggs. We look at risk/reward. Would I get a tetanus vaccination, knowing that it makes me a lot sicker than it makes other people (this is based on my absolute experience of having it make me sick)? Yep, I get my tetanus vaccinations when they're needed.
Will I get a flu vaccination that has less than a 10% chance of being effective, when it will probably make me at least somewhat sick from the other crap they put in the shot? Nope.
And as far as there being "no science" in the anti-vax camp, please read the article that I posted about how, despite the attempts of scientists to stop the dangerous Dengue Fever vaccine which puts people at MORE risk of having life-threatening side effects if they get a Dengue mosquito bite, Sanofi proceeded to vaccinate many people in the Philippines. That was scientific opinion AGAINST using that SPECIFIC vaccine. It's horrible for the people who got the vaccination and now their lives are at risk. Do you think they are going to be willing to get any other vaccination now?
People have to stop looking at things as "get all vaccines" or "get no vaccines." The risk/reward for each one has to be gauged, for each person's individual health situation. There are some vaccines that everyone needs. There are some that present a greater risk to certain people than the disease presents.
