They don't have the bandwidth yet to handle 4K yet let alone 8K or higher...
It's took almost 20 yrs for full acceptance of HD.....4K is just getting started.
8K is years down the road for acceptance IMO.
There's a big difference between showcasing something still pretty much in R&D and actually commercializing it.
We're just now starting to get 4K content....how long will it be before there is watchable 8K content, let alone streaming it.
I estimate at least a decade on 8K
