1.6 Billion Muslims in the world don't drink alcohol. Might be able to add another 1 billion non Muslims. There are also medical applications that do really compete with present FDA approved drugs to include pain management and cancer treatments.
I personally don't see recreational pot any worse than alcohol ...not that either is good. Prescription drugs are a bigger killer than both.
