sox, you do not believe that there is illegal naked shorting which is being concealed by market makers, as it was in the Overstock.com case where 110% of the number of actual shares were SHORTED.
Some of us believe that there IS illegal naked shorting which is not reflected in the FINRA numbers.
There will never be a consensus on this.
The argument is whether apples are oranges or not, and there is never going to be an agreement. Either there is illegal naked shorting which is concealed, or there isn't. There are two opinions and never the twain shall meet.
