Hey SFOR. Saw this in LinkenIn this morning. Let’s get after Uber. All those cell phones should be protected.
Uber paid off hackers who stole the data of 57 million users and drivers. The company confirmed to Bloomberg that personal information from 50 million Uber riders worldwide, as well as 7 million drivers, was compromised in October 2016. Uber fired its chief security officer and a deputy for their failure to flag the breach — and for working to keep it from being exposed, an effort that included paying the hackers $100,000. "None of this should have happened, and I will not make excuses for it,” new Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in a statement. • Share your thoughts: #UberHack
