Anthem health insurance now covers "artificial pancreas." I have not researched these devices well. Here's a question for any who know about this: do any of these systems work well enough that if someone has pancreatic cancer, they could remove the pancreas and use one of these systems instead? Or are they adjuncts to a pancreas and can't replace all functions?
